New Year's Eve started out with two wishes, mine was to to dance and my teammate Kate's was to sing praises in the streets. Two very different wishes but it's funny what the Lord answers sometimes and how He answers.

The night starts out with Andrea, Kate, Laura, Kaci, Kristen, Karson and me flagging down a truck taxi, the drivers didn't know the place where we initially wanted to go so we just went with our second option, a place called Central.. So we hop on, not really knowing what to expect. When we arrive we have an hour and a half before midnight so we decide to walk around and then we hear music playing. Naturally, we locate the music in this area that people are just chilling at and we all just look at each other and all start to dance next to the speakers.
Soon enough people start coming around taking pictures and laughing at the North American girls being ridiculous. But then, slowly, a person or two would join us with their friends and we would clap and cheer each time. More and more people start to join and then at some point we look around and there are literally HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE DANCING. We started a dance party in the middle of Bangkok, on New Year's Eve, with hundreds of people. God didn't just answer my wish to dance tonight, He gave me a huge dance party!
Midnight consisted of a huge countdown, fireworks right over our heads, confetti falling everywhere, and declarations. We declared in front of hundreds of people dancing with us that we are daughters of the Lord, we are going to make a change in Phuket, we are all loved, we are all free, we are all enough, Jesus loves them and many, many more declarations. We also asked the Holy Spirit to come down on the people we were dancing with and start a work in them. The Lord also answered Kate'a request of praising the Lord in the streets!
I will never forget this New Year's and I can't stop thanking God for how He answered our two wishes for the night. God also used this night to empower us for Phuket. We are now more ready to go than we were before. If God can do that in Bangkok on our transition time to a new ministry, there is no telling what He has in store for Phuket! We have an amazing father and I am so happy to be a daughter He has blessed with an incredible New Year's.
